API Access for Live Accounts

Hi,

I’m a regular joe using CI to trade. I was just wondering whether I’m allowed API access on a real trading account, at least, for limited use (e.g. only to grab the account balance, latest trades etc etc).

I’m a newbie to API programming, so go easy. It’s just it would be fun to be able to write a taskbar app that grabs the account data during working hours (my account is managed).
